Explanation of Episode 2:
So this episode is kind of a letdown, I guess. Not only is it of an an unwieldy size, it's less of a linear, plot-oriented strip than an introduction of the main characters. However, anyone who's really into modernist lit may find themselves skeptical of linear time to begin with. Oops, did I say "begin with"? and why are those episodes numbered, anyhow? *Sigh* The hegemony of teleology...
Anyway, back to the point of this episode of Stroff Park. As suggested before, it's intended mostly to familiarize the audience with the characters--or, rather, with my somewhat inaccurate depictions of them (for example, my classmate Brian Mornar thought, while reading the first panel of Episode 1, that Nate was a girl). I also limited the main characters to the first-year poets and their instructors; other characters will, of course, be introduced later.
You may have noticed that, at this juncture, none of my female characters have noses. I'm not sure how that works. Perhaps they breathe through their hair.
